In their opening game, MacDougall defeated Rick Perron (Saint John, NB) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John , NB) and 6-0 against Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI). MacDougall went on to lose 8-5 against Peter Case (Saint John, NB). MacDougall responded with a 7-0 win over Aaron Young (Woodstock, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
