Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) lost 8-4 to Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, held September 17 - 20, 2015 in Edmonton, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 7-3 over Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2015 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta; and won 8-6 over Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta;
 
Bottcher finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher lost 6-0 to Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 5-3 win over Mick Lizmore (Edmonton, AB). Bottcher won 7-5 against Sluchinski, then won 6-0 against Scoffin in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out, Bottcher take home 23.822 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 300.690 total points. Bottcher ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 56.140 points earned so far this season.
