John Shuster (Duluth, USA) won 7-4 over Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, ON) in the Final of the Curl Mesabi Classic, held December 18 - 20, 2015 at the Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, United States. To advance to the championship game, Shuster won 5-2 over Pete Fenson (Blaine, USA) in the semifinals   of the 2015 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States; and won 6-5 over Craig Brown (Blaine, USA) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2015 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States; 
 
Shuster finished 4-0 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) 12-0, then won 5-3 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA) and 8-4 against Minnesota's Josh Bahr. Shuster won 8-2 against John Lilla (St Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Mesabi Classic Championship title, Shuster earned 29.152 world rankings points along with the $7,656CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 296.441 total points. Shuster ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 169.469 points earned so far this season.
