Dunstone finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Colorado's Darryl Sobering 9-2, then won 6-4 against Muntain and 5-1 against Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB). Dunstone won 8-6 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Bernick's Miller Lite Open Championship title, Dunstone earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $4,607CDN first prize cheque. For week 10 of the event schedule, Dunstone did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 51st to 57th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 56.690 total points.
