Carey responded with a 6-4 win over Marie-France Larouche (Levis, QC). Carey went on to lose 8-7 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Carey responded with a 8-2 win over Jill Brothers (halifax, NS). Carey won 6-5 against Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
