Erika Brown (Madison, USA) finished 6-5 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown lost 5-4 to Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Brown lost 10-2 to Chelsea Carey (Calgary, CAN) where Brown responded with a 5-3 win over Federica Apollonio (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Brown went on to lose 6-5 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Brown responded with a 10-3 win over Ji-Sun Kim (gyeonggido, KOR). Brown won 6-5 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS), then won 7-4 against Daniela Driendl (Fï¿½ssen , GER). Brown went on to lose 7-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Brown responded with a 8-3 win over Oona Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Brown won 5-4 against Margaretha Sigfridsson (Sundsvall, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Brown earned 15.212 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 19th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.075999999999993 after improving upon their best so far this season. Brown ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 214.588 points earned so far this season.
