Sturmay finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Allyson Hamilton (Taber, AB) 9-2, then won 7-6 against Amanda Moizis (Red Deer, AB) and 9-6 against Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB). Sturmay won 7-4 against Skrlik, then won 10-7 against Veronica Maschmeyer (Ellerslie, AB) and 5-2 against Brenna Bilassy (Edmonton, AB). Sturmay won 7-1 against Janais DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
