Morozumi won 7-5 against Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

Morozumi earned 31.721 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the World Men's Curling Championship. For week 34 of the event schedule, Morozumi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
