Kim lost 12-4 to Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI). Kim lost 6-4 to Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Kim lost 6-3 to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) where Kim responded with a 8-5 win over Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN). Kim went on to lose 9-2 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN). Kim lost 7-4 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Kim lost 8-6 to John Shuster (Duluth, USA) where Kim responded with a 9-6 win over Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 5.287 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Kim move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 2.605 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 29th overall with 160.906 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 131.717 points earned so far this season.
