Ulsrud won 8-2 against Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER), then won 8-6 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) and 6-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Ulsrud won 7-5 against Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Ulsrud went on to lose 8-3 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Ulsrud lost 6-4 to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Ulsrud lost 6-4 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN) where Ulsrud responded with a 7-4 win over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ulsrud earned 18.504 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14.334 after improving upon their best so far this season. Ulsrud ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 188.675 points earned so far this season.
