Michel responded with a 6-3 win over Alexey Tselousov (Moscow, RUS). Michel went on to lose 7-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Michel lost 8-2 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.
