To advance to the championship game, Heggestad won 6-3 over Guy Racette (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2015 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-3 over Terry Corbin (Brantford, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;
 
Heggestad finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Racette 3-2, then won 6-5 against Jim Bell (Unionville, ON) and 9-2 against Don Campbell (Stroud, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the COMCO Cash Spiel, Heggestad take home 12.860 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 29 spots the World Ranking Standings into 98th place overall with 32.900 total points. Heggestad ranks 80th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.215 points earned so far this season.
