Richard Krell (Waterloo, ON) lost 6-4 to Jake Higgs (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Scugog Cup Cash Spiel, held November 27 - 29, 2015 at the Port Perry Community Curling Club in Port Perry, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Krell won 6-5 over Nick Moffatt (Oshawa, ON) in the semifinals
 
Krell finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Krell defeated Tim Morrison (Cookstown, ON) 6-4, then won 5-1 against John Bolton (Lindsay, ON). Krell went on to lose 6-5 against Chris Glibota (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT). Krell responded with a 7-2 win over Jim Bell (Unionville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scugog Cup Cash Spiel, Krell take home 8.663 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 23 spots the World Ranking Standings into 127th place overall with 24.717 total points. Krell ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.029 points earned so far this season.
