Krell finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Krell defeated Tim Morrison (Cookstown, ON) 6-4, then won 5-1 against John Bolton (Lindsay, ON). Krell went on to lose 6-5 against Chris Glibota (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT). Krell responded with a 7-2 win over Jim Bell (Unionville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Scugog Cup Cash Spiel, Krell take home 8.663 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 23 spots the World Ranking Standings into 127th place overall with 24.717 total points.
