Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) lost 5-1 to David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, held March 25 - 27, 2016 in Aberdeen, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Brewster won 5-3 over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2016 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland; and won 9-3 over Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;
 
Brewster finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brewster defeated Juraj Gallo (Martin, SVK) 7-2, then won 7-2 against Cameron Bryce (Edinburgh, SCO) and 5-2 against Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS). Brewster won 8-4 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, Brewster take home 28.190 world rankings points along with the $5,619CDN prize. Brewster move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 16.856 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 18th overall with 283.582 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brewster ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 186.662 points earned so far this season.
