Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) qualified for the 2016 Aberdeen International Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-3 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). of the 2016 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;

Mouat finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN) 8-3, then won 5-2 against Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER) and 6-1 against Krystof Tabery (Prague, CZE). Mouat went on to lose 8-4 against David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

Mouat earned 15.376 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 29th place overall with 158.324 total points.
