Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR) lost 5-4 to David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the German Masters, held January 21 - 24, 2016 in Hamburg, Germany.

Kim finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Gustav Eskilsson (Skellefteï¿½, SWE) 9-3, then went on to lose 7-2 against Eirik Mjoen (Oslo, NOR). Kim responded with a 6-3 win over Murdoch in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the German Masters, Kim take home 28.746 world rankings points along with the $4,592CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 158.301 total points. Kim ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 129.112 points earned so far this season.
