Mouat finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE) 9-3, then won 6-5 against Scott Hamilton (Edinburgh, SCO) and 8-3 against Moon (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the LELY Dumfries Challenger Series Championship title, Mouat earned 16.853 world rankings points along with the $4,170CDN first prize cheque, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 71.561 total points.
