Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-5 against Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan;

In their opening game, Bitz lost 8-2 to Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) where Bitz responded with a 9-3 win over Mike Eberle (Regina, SK). Bitz won 7-1 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Bitz earned 7.662 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 87th place overall with 51.626 total points. Bitz ranks 98th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.962 points earned so far this season.
