Sharp finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sharp defeated Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) 7-5, then won 8-4 against Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK) and 8-4 against Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Sharp earned 10.854 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, moving up 122 spots the World Ranking Standings into 190th place overall with 14.957 total points. Sharp ranks 159th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.237 points earned so far this season.
