Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2016 Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship in Humboldt, Saskatchewan;

Vollman finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vollman lost 5-4 to Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) where Vollman responded with a 7-6 win over Dale Craig (Saskatoon, SK). Vollman won 6-4 against Jesse St. John (Kindersley, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Vollman earned 7.662 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Goldline Saskatchewan Players Championship, moving up 222 spots the World Ranking Standings into 262nd place overall with 8.085 total points. Vollman ranks 212th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.085 points earned so far this season.
