Matchett finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Matchett defeated Dave Nigh (Lindsay, ON) 7-2, then won 8-3 against Bryan Johnson (Newmarket, ON) and 10-5 against Isaac Breadner (Lindsay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Bromont Curling Classic, Matchett take home 7.027 world rankings points along with the $1,400CDN prize, moving up 34 spots the World Ranking Standings into 162nd place overall with 23.942 total points. Matchett ranks 257th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.027 points earned so far this season.
