Michel finished 8-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Yannick Schwaller (Berne, SUI) 10-2, then won 6-2 against Kevin Wunderlin (Biel, SUI) and 8-3 against Yves Hess (Zug, SUI). Michel won 7-1 against Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI), then won 7-5 against De Cruz. Michel went on to lose 7-6 against Wunderlin. Michel responded with a 6-5 win over Hess. Michel won 6-4 against Attinger, then won 9-5 against De Cruz. Michel went on to lose 8-5 against Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Swiss League Championship Championship title, Michel earned 21.546 world rankings points, remaining in 16th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.708 after improving upon their best so far this season. Michel ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 177.926 points earned so far this season.
