In their opening game, Marthaller defeated Nadine Chyz (Calgary/Red Deer, AB) 7-6, then won 8-6 against Susan O'Connor (Calgary, AB). Marthaller went on to lose 8-4 against Shannon Kleibrink (Coaldale, AB). Marthaller responded with a 7-6 win over Chyz in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Scotties Southerns, Marthaller take home 9.075 world rankings points, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 101st place overall with 30.240 total points. Marthaller ranks 91st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.750 points earned so far this season.
