Russett went on to lose 7-3 against Sarah Wark (Victoria, BC). Russett responded with a 3-2 win over Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Russett earned 3.506 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the BC Scotties - Open Event #2, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 121st place overall with 19.847 total points. Russett ranks 109th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.797 points earned so far this season.
