Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferris defeated Eric Bradey (St. Catharines, ON) 5-2, then won 7-1 against Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON). Ferris went on to lose 8-2 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON). Ferris responded with a 7-6 win over Retchless in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Tankard Challenge Round, Ferris take home 15.881 world rankings points.
