Cheryl Reed (Brandon, MB) finished 3-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reed defeated Deb Collyer (Killarney, MB) 10-6, then won 8-6 against Tina Kozak (Winnipeg, MB). Reed went on to lose 8-3 against Terry Ursel (Neepawa, MB). Reed responded with a 9-1 win over Katie Chappellaz (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Manitoba Scotties - Westman Regional, Reed take home 4.538 world rankings points, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 161st place overall with 10.778 total points. Reed ranks 156th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.036 points earned so far this season.
