Brown finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Michelle Wiens (Winnipeg, MB) 6-5, then won 5-4 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Brown went on to lose 5-1 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
