Abby Ackland (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-5 over Laura Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Manitoba Canola Junior Womens, held January 5 - 10, 2016 at the Rivers Curling Club in Rivers, Canada.

Ackland finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackland defeated Hanne Jensen (Dauphin, MB) 8-2, then won 10-3 against Kaitlyn Payette (Brandon, MB) and 9-1 against Emma Jensen (Dauphin, MB). Ackland went on to lose 8-7 against Randine Baker (Winnipeg, MB). Ackland responded with a 7-5 win over Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB). Ackland won 7-5 against Christine MacKay (Winnipeg, MB). Ackland went on to lose 4-3 against Burtnyk in their final qualifying round match.
