In their opening game, Oryniak defeated Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) 8-6, then won 7-3 against Dustin Pratcshler (La Salle, MB) and 7-2 against Carter Watkins (Swan River, MB). Oryniak won 15-1 against Matthew Stewart (Thompson, MB). Oryniak went on to lose 9-3 against Devon Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB). Oryniak lost 4-1 to Dunstone where Oryniak responded with a 5-4 win over Shayne MacGranachan (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
