Doug Kee (Ottawa, ON) finished 5-5 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kee defeated Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) 10-4, then won 10-2 against Arthur Siksik (Rankin Inlet, NU). Kee went on to lose 8-3 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Kee lost 9-6 to Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) where Kee responded with a 7-3 win over Greg Smith (St. John, NL). Kee won 7-4 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Kee went on to lose 10-4 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Kee lost 6-4 to Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT). Kee lost 5-1 to Jake Hersikorn (Saskatoon, SK) where Kee responded with a 10-7 win over Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Kee earned 2.061 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Kee did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kee ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
