In their opening game, Klassen lost 9-5 to Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT), droppimg another game, 11-5 to Alex Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Klassen lost 10-2 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Klassen lost 8-3 to Jake Hersikorn (Saskatoon, SK). Klassen lost 8-4 to Matthew Miller (Inuvik, NT). Klassen lost 10-4 to Matthew MacLean (O'Leary, PEI). Klassen lost 9-3 to Greg Smith (St. John, NL). Klassen lost 12-6 to Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) where Klassen responded with a 11-1 win over Arthur Siksik (Rankin Inlet, NU) in their final qualifying round match.

Klassen earned 0.412 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Klassen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Klassen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
