Megan Smith (Sudbury, NONT) won 8-4 over Krysta Burns (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Northern Ontario Junior Women, held January 2 - 5, 2016 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 8-1 over Tiana Gaudry (Thunder Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2016 Northern Ontario Junior Women in Sioux Lookout, Ontario;
 
Smith finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Ashley Payne (Fort Frances, NONT) 17-2, then won 11-6 against Gaudry and 10-4 against Cassidy Romyn (Sioux Lookout, ON). Smith won 7-1 against Hailey Beaudry (Fort Frances, NONT), then won 11-5 against Hayley Horton (Blind River, NONT). Smith went on to lose 7-5 against Burns. Smith lost 7-6 to Camille Daly (Copper Cliff, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
