After advancing directly to the championship game, Krysta Burns (Sudbury, NONT) lost 8-4 to Megan Smith (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Northern Ontario Junior Women, held January 2 - 5, 2016 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
 
Burns finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Burns defeated Tiana Gaudry (Thunder Bay, NONT) 10-1, then won 14-2 against Ashley Payne (Fort Frances, NONT) and 12-3 against Hailey Beaudry (Fort Frances, NONT). Burns won 9-1 against Cassidy Romyn (Sioux Lookout, ON), then won 11-2 against Camille Daly (Copper Cliff, NONT) and 7-5 against Smith. Burns won 7-6 against Hayley Horton (Blind River, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
