Nicholas Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) run at the 2016 Northern Ontario Junior Men came to an end in the semifinals with a 11-2 loss to Josh Vanderburg (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). of the 2016 Northern Ontario Junior Men in Kakabeka Falls, Ontario;
 
Lemieux finished 4-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lemieux defeated Zach Warkentin (Keewatin, NONT) 6-5, then won 8-7 against Ian Fudge (Thunder Bay, NONT). Lemieux went on to lose 11-3 against Tanner Horgan (Copper Cliff, NONT). Lemieux lost 13-4 to Vanderburg where Lemieux responded with a 9-6 win over Aaron Souliere (Thessalon, NONT). Lemieux went on to lose 8-0 against Matt Roberts (Kakabeka Falls, NONT). Lemieux responded with a 5-1 win over Connor Mangoff (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Lemieux did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lemieux ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
