Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) won 7-5 over Hunter Clawson (Clarksville, MD) in the Final of the USA Junior National Championships, held January 16 - 23, 2016 in Willmar, Minnesota.

Dropkin finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin defeated Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN) 7-2, then went on to lose 1-0 against Andrew McDonald (Midland, MI). Dropkin responded with a 7-4 win over Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA). Dropkin won 9-4 against Josh Moore (Duluth, MN). Dropkin went on to lose 8-2 against Clawson. Dropkin responded with a 9-4 win over Chase Sinnett (Wayland, MA). Dropkin won 4-3 against Timothy Hodek (Fargo, ND), then won 7-6 against Andrew Stopera (Chicago, IL) and 7-2 against Robert Shlimovitz (Portage, WI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Junior National Championships Championship title, Dropkin earned 14.265 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Dropkin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dropkin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
