Emily Brekke (Grand Forks, ND) finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brekke defeated Maya Willertz (Midland, MI) 10-6, then went on to lose 9-3 against Annmarie Dubberstein (Portage, WI). Brekke lost 9-3 to Elizabeth Cousins (Medfield, MA) where Brekke responded with a 11-6 win over Rebecca Rodgers (Petersham, MA). Brekke won 7-3 against Emily Quello (Bemidji, MN), then won 7-5 against Sidney Schroeder (Houghton, MI) and 8-5 against Cora Farrell (Fairbanks, AK). Brekke went on to lose 8-3 against Cory Christensen (Duluth, MN). Brekke responded with a 8-6 win over Melissa Runing (Mapleton, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
Brekke earned 8.336 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the USA Junior National Championships. For week of the event schedule, Brekke did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Brekke ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
