Elizabeth Cousins (Medfield, MA) finished 4-5 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cousins defeated Sidney Schroeder (Houghton, MI) 8-4, then won 8-1 against Maya Willertz (Midland, MI) and 9-3 against Emily Brekke (Grand Forks, ND). Cousins went on to lose 11-6 against Annmarie Dubberstein (Portage, WI). Cousins lost 10-4 to Cora Farrell (Fairbanks, AK). Cousins lost 8-4 to Emily Quello (Bemidji, MN). Cousins lost 7-2 to Cory Christensen (Duluth, MN). Cousins lost 9-4 to Melissa Runing (Mapleton, MN) where Cousins responded with a 7-5 win over Rebecca Rodgers (Petersham, MA) in their final qualifying round match.

Cousins earned 1.667 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Cousins did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cousins ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
