Birt finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Lisa Jackson (Charlottetown, PEI) 9-6, then won 8-5 against Dolan and 9-3 against Sarah Fullerton (Charlottetown, PEI). Birt won 10-4 against Dolan. Birt went on to lose 8-5 against Jackson in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the PEI Scotties Championship title, Birt earned 5.775 world rankings points, remaining in 48th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 100.904 total points. Birt ranks 33rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 85.348 points earned so far this season.
