Kennedy won 7-5 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB), then won 6-4 against Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) and 7-3 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Kennedy won 7-4 against Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the New Brunswick Pepsi Tankard Championship title, Kennedy earned 7.875 world rankings points, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 109th place overall with 40.772 total points. Kennedy ranks 112th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.807 points earned so far this season.
