Shuster won 8-6 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN), then won 10-5 against Hunter Clawson (Baltimore, MD) and 8-5 against Craig Brown (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Men's National Curling Championship, Shuster take home 34.031 world rankings points. Shuster move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 29.403 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 355.867 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
