Skauge finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skauge defeated Stephen Moss (Yellowknife, NT) 6-5, then won 8-4 against Darcy Delorey (Hay River, NT) and 10-5 against Paul Delorey (Hay River, NT). Skauge won 8-2 against Bruce McArthur (Fort Smith, NT). Skauge went on to lose 5-4 against Koe. Skauge responded with a 9-2 win over Glen Hudy (Yellowknife, NT) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the NWT Men's Championship, Skauge take home 2.888 world rankings points, moving up 46 spots the World Ranking Standings into 305th place overall with 6.188 total points.
