8-5 to Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO), then responded with a 8-7 win over Karina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Young went on to lose 6-4 against Katie Murray (Stirling, SCO). Young lost 10-0 to Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO) where Young responded with a 10-4 win over Lauren Gray (Stirling, SCO). Young went on to lose 10-4 against Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO). Young responded with a 7-3 win over Sophie Jackson (Dumfries, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Young earned 2.608 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 196th place overall with 7.378 total points. Young ranks 191st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.378 points earned so far this season.
