Howard finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster , BC) 7-1, then won 5-2 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC) and 7-5 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Howard won 6-3 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, Howard take home 37.159 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 13th place overall with 335.219 total points. Howard ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 111.537 points earned so far this season.
