Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) qualified for the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Craig Brown (Blaine, USA). of the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Cranbrook, British Columbia;
 
Tardi finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi lost 6-4 to Brown, then responded with a 6-3 win over Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC). Tardi won 10-5 against Andrew Bilesky (New Westminster , BC). Tardi went on to lose 7-5 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
