Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) lost 5-4 to Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) in the Final of the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, held November 8 - 13, 2016 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, McCarville won 7-5 over Shannon Kleibrink (Okotoks, AB) in the semifinals of the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Cranbrook, British Columbia; and won 8-6 over Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC) in the quarterfinals.
 
McCarville finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCarville defeated Gushulak 9-1, then won 8-6 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC) and 7-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). McCarville won 7-3 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, McCarville take home 37.627 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 230.350 total points. McCarville ranks 49th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 42.430 points earned so far this season.
