Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC) qualified for the 2016 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT).

Gushulak finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushulak lost 9-1 to McCarville, then responded with a 4-3 win over Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Gushulak went on to lose 6-5 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC). Gushulak responded with a 8-6 win over Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Gushulak earned 20.524 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 118.990 total points. Gushulak ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 53.492 points earned so far this season.
