Thompson finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson lost 7-4 to Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Thompson responded with a 6-5 win over Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC). Thompson won 6-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 29.076 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 33rd place overall with 134.779 total points.
