Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 6-3 to Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) in the Final of the WFG Masters, held October 25 - 30, 2016 in Okotoks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 7-4 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2016 WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alberta; and won 7-5 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alberta;
 
Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) 5-3, then won 7-6 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Homan went on to lose 6-5 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Homan responded with a 7-5 win over Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the WFG Masters, Homan take home 66.580 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 770.413 total points. Homan ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 186.705 points earned so far this season.
