Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) won 8-4 over Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Westjet Players' Championship, held April 11 - 16, 2017 in Toronto, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 8-3 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2017 Westjet Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario; and won 6-5 over Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Westjet Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;
 
Jones finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB) 8-1, then went on to lose 7-3 against Muirhead. Jones responded with a 6-5 win over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT). Jones won 10-5 against Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE), then won 8-2 against Sweeting in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Westjet Players' Championship Championship title, Jones earned 74.618 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 42.597 after improving upon their best so far this season. Jones ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 397.078 points earned so far this season.
