To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 7-2 over Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta; and won 5-4 over Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta;
 
Hasselborg finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA) 6-4, then won 8-5 against Harrison. Hasselborg went on to lose 8-1 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI). Hasselborg responded with a 7-4 win over Bingyu Wang (HARBIN, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
